What the NHS has to say about a healthy waist size for your height – and how to calculate it.

An NHS watchdog has advised that people’s waist sizes should be less than half their height to help prevent health concerns.

Adults with a BMI under 35 should test their waist-to-height ratio to see if they are in a ‘healthy’ range, according to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice).
