Amber Heard lost the defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, and her reactions after her loss drew a lot of attention it was obvious that a case that was so covered by the media had to continue, so Amber Heard gave her version of what happened this time it was with Dateline, NBC’s hit show.
One of the things that she revealed was that the actor’s ex-partners were afraid to accuse him as she did
The journalist and anchor Savannah Guthrie spoke with Amber Heard
It was time for NBC to air host Savannah Guthrie’s Dateline with Amber Heard, and the Aquaman actress made a tremendous series of confessions about her relationship with Johnny Depp.
“Look what happened to me when I came forward, would you?” said Amber Heard, 36. Heard explained her motivation for speaking out publicly, even after a jury ruled earlier this month that she had defamed her ex-husband with her abuse allegations.
She said why she went to the interview
Some people might ask why are you here? are you brave? are you reckless? are you vindictive? why did you want to do an interview? Guthrie asked Heard at the beginning of the interview.
You know, Savannah, as silly as it is to say this out loud…my goal, the only thing I could hope for at this point, is that I just want people to see me as a human being.”
She holds her words
“I will stand by every word of my testimony until the day I die,” Heard said in the interview with NBC News.
Actor Johnny Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against Heard over an op-ed the actress wrote for The Washington Post in December 2018.
She claims that she only responded to violence
“I have never felt more removed from my own humanity,” she mentioned about her feelings during her relationship with Depp.
“I never had to instigate it. I responded to it. When (violence) becomes normal, as I testified, you have to adapt,” she told Savannah.
